  1. Maintain and optimize cloud-based infrastructure for SAP's Gardener (T1/T2) team.
  2. Utilize strong understanding of DevOps principles to continuously improve processes.
  3. Collaborate with a diverse and talented group of individuals to ensure smooth and efficient operation of technical systems.
  4. Work with cutting-edge technologies to contribute to the maintenance and optimization of SAP's cloud-based infrastructure.
  5. Solve complex technical problems and implement solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
  6. Monitor and analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  7. Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
  8. Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
  9. Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues to prevent potential system failures.
  10. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new systems.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make recommendations for process improvements.
  12. Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  13. Adhere to security and compliance standards to ensure the safety and integrity of systems and data.
  14. Act as a key member of the team in shaping the future of cloud computing at SAP.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Experience With Kubernetes: A Site Reliability/(Associate) Devops Engineer At Sap Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Kubernetes, Including Deployment, Management, And Troubleshooting. They Should Be Able To Confidently Work With Kubernetes Clusters And Understand How To Optimize Them For Performance.

  • Proficiency In Scripting And Automation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Scripting Languages Such As Bash, Python, Or Ruby, As Well As Experience With Automation Tools Like Ansible Or Chef. This Will Allow Them To Automate Routine Tasks And Optimize Processes For Efficiency.

  • Familiarity With Cloud Infrastructure: As A Site Reliability/(Associate) Devops Engineer, The Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Gcp. They Should Be Able To Configure And Manage Cloud Resources And Understand How To Integrate Them With Other Tools And Services.

  • Knowledge Of Monitoring And Logging Tools: The Candidate Should Have Experience With Monitoring Tools Such As Prometheus, Grafana, Or Datadog, As Well As Logging Tools Like Elk Or Splunk. They Should Be Able To Set Up And Maintain A Robust Monitoring And Logging System To Ensure The Health And Performance Of The System.

  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills: A Site Reliability/(Associate) Devops Engineer Should Have Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And Be Able To Troubleshoot Issues Quickly And Efficiently. They Should Be Able To Identify Root Causes Of Problems And Implement Solutions To Prevent Them From Recurring In The Future.
