  1. Develop and maintain the DevOps strategy and roadmap for SAP's cutting-edge products.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy software applications and infrastructure.
  3. Implement and manage automation tools and processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  5. Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and impact on customers.
  6. Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and stability of software releases.
  7. Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to streamline processes and improve overall DevOps workflow.
  8. Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices and technical skills.
  9. Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in DevOps, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization.
  11. Collaborate with project managers to define project timelines and deliverables.
  12. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather requirements.
  13. Ensure compliance with security and data privacy regulations.
  14. Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical issues outside of regular business hours.
  15. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Devops Methodologies And Tools: A Senior Devops Engineer At Sap Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Devops Principles And Practices, As Well As Hands-On Experience With Tools Such As Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, And Ansible.

  • Strong Coding And Scripting Skills: Proficiency In At Least One Programming Language (E.g. Python, Java, Go) And Experience With Scripting Languages (E.g. Bash, Powershell) Is Essential For A Senior Devops Engineer At Sap.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Cloud Computing: Sap Heavily Relies On Cloud Technology, So A Senior Devops Engineer Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Various Cloud Platforms, Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud.

  • Experience With Automation And Infrastructure As Code: Automation Is A Crucial Part Of Devops, And A Senior Devops Engineer Should Be Skilled In Automating Processes And Managing Infrastructure As Code Using Tools Like Terraform Or Cloudformation.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills: A Senior Devops Engineer Needs To Be Able To Identify And Solve Complex Issues Quickly And Efficiently, As Well As Possess A Strong Understanding Of System Architecture And Networking Concepts.
