Job Description

At SAP, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer to join our Core Infrastructure Team as a Gardener for our Business Technology Platform (BTP). In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as GO Lang and Kubernetes to design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure of our BTP platform.   1. Designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure of SAP's Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  2. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as GO Lang and Kubernetes to ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of the BTP platform.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  4. Providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
  5. Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to the BTP platform.
  6. Staying current with industry trends and advancements in GO Lang, Kubernetes, and core infrastructure to continuously improve the BTP platform.
  7. Conducting code reviews and ensuring high-quality code is delivered.
  8. Participating in agile development processes and contributing towards the overall success of the Core Infrastructure Team.
  9. Proactively identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  10. Mentoring and coaching junior developers to help them improve their technical skills.
  11. Complying with security and compliance standards in all development activities.
  12. Communicating project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
  13. Adhering to SAP's core values and maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
  14. Continuously learning and expanding knowledge in GO Lang, Kubernetes, and other relevant technologies to enhance personal and team performance.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With Go Lang Programming Language: The Senior Developer Should Have A Strong Background In Go Lang, With A Deep Understanding Of Its Syntax, Libraries, And Best Practices. They Should Be Able To Write Efficient And Maintainable Code In Go Lang, And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Debug Complex Issues.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Kubernetes: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Significant Experience Working With Kubernetes, Including Designing, Deploying, And Managing Containerized Applications. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Kubernetes Concepts Such As Pods, Services, And Deployments, And Be Able To Implement Best Practices For Scaling And Monitoring.

  • Expertise In Core Infrastructure Technologies: The Senior Developer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Core Infrastructure Technologies Such As Networking, Storage, And Security. They Should Be Able To Design And Implement Highly Available And Scalable Systems Using These Technologies, And Have Experience Working With Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud.

  • Experience With Gardener (Btp): Sap's Gardener Is A Cloud-Native Platform For Managing Kubernetes Clusters, And The Senior Developer Should Have Prior Experience Working With It. They Should Be Familiar With Gardener's Features And Capabilities, And Be Able To Leverage Them To Optimize The Company's Kubernetes Infrastructure.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Core Infrastructure Team, The Senior Developer Should Have Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And Be Able To Troubleshoot Complex Issues In A Timely Manner. They Should Also Have Strong Communication Skills To Collaborate With Other Team Members And Stakeholders, And To Effectively Present Their Ideas And Solutions.
