- Conduct user research to understand the needs and pain points of businesses when it comes to data analytics.
- Utilize a variety of research methods, such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to gather insights and feedback from users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design goals and requirements for new cloud-based solutions.
- Analyze and interpret research findings to inform design decisions and improvements.
- Create user personas, journey maps, and other design artifacts to communicate research insights and inform the design process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in design research, and apply them to enhance our products.
- Work closely with product managers and designers to develop user-centered design solutions that meet business and user needs.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses of existing products and inform our own product strategy.
- Present research findings and design recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers and designers in best practices for design research.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create user-focused messaging and materials for our products.
- Continuously gather feedback and iterate on designs to ensure a user-centered approach.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the overall product strategy and roadmap.
- Act as a subject matter expert on design research, and educate others within the organization on the importance and impact of user research.
- Maintain a strong understanding of our target market and customer needs to inform future product developments.
Extensive Experience In Design Research: A Senior Design Researcher At Sap Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Conducting Design Research In A Business Setting, Preferably In The Field Of Cloud Computing. This Includes Experience In Designing Research Studies, Conducting Interviews And Surveys, And Analyzing And Synthesizing Data.
Strong Understanding Of Business Data And Cloud Computing: As A Senior Design Researcher, A Deep Understanding Of Business Data And Cloud Technology Is Essential. This Includes Knowledge Of Data Management, Data Security, And Cloud Deployment Models. Familiarity With Sap's Cloud Solutions Is Also Preferred.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: Successful Design Research Requires Effective Communication And Collaboration With Various Stakeholders, Including Designers, Engineers, Product Managers, And Customers. A Senior Design Researcher Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well In Cross-Functional Teams.
Proficiency In Research Methodologies And Tools: A Senior Design Researcher Should Have A Strong Background In Research Methodologies, Such As Ethnography, Usability Testing, And Data Analysis. Proficiency In Relevant Tools And Software, Such As User Testing Platforms And Data Visualization Tools, Is Also Important.
