  1. Develop and implement incident response plans to effectively handle security incidents within the organization.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the security incident response and triage team, providing guidance and direction when needed.
  3. Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents and take appropriate action.
  4. Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, including root cause analysis, to determine the extent of the breach and develop a plan for remediation.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents and minimize impact on business operations.
  6. Maintain and enhance security incident response procedures and protocols, incorporating industry best practices and staying abreast of emerging threats.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners such as law enforcement, third-party vendors, and other security professionals to enhance incident response capabilities.
  8. Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends to continually improve the organization's security posture.
  9. Lead and conduct regular tabletop exercises and simulations to test the effectiveness of incident response plans and identify areas for improvement.
  10. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of security incidents, response efforts, and any necessary remediation actions.
  11. Train and mentor team members on incident response procedures, tools, and techniques to build a strong and capable security incident response team.
  12. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies related to incident response and security incident management.
  13. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and recommendations to other departments within the organization on security incident response and triage matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Incident Response: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have Extensive Experience In Managing Security Incidents, Preferably Within A Large Organization. This Includes Experience In Identifying, Assessing, And Responding To Security Incidents In A Timely And Efficient Manner.

  • Knowledge Of Cybersecurity: A Strong Understanding Of Cybersecurity Principles, Best Practices, And Industry Standards Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Current And Emerging Cyber Threats, As Well As Experience In Developing And Implementing Incident Response Plans.

  • Technical Skills: The Security Incident Response And Triage Manager Should Possess Strong Technical Skills, Including Knowledge Of Various Operating Systems, Networks, And Security Tools. They Should Also Have Experience In Performing Forensic Investigations And Analyzing Security Logs To Identify And Mitigate Threats.

  • Team Management: This Role Requires Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing A Team Of Security Analysts And Incident Responders, As Well As The Ability To Coordinate And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.

  • Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: The Security Incident Response And Triage Manager Should Have Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders And Make Quick And Effective Decisions During High-Pressure Situations.
