  1. Design and implement network infrastructure for SAP's SaaS offerings.
  2. Maintain and troubleshoot existing network infrastructure.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SaaS solutions.
  4. Stay updated with the latest developments in SaaS and Cisco systems.
  5. Identify and resolve network performance issues.
  6. Monitor network traffic and proactively identify potential issues.
  7. Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
  8. Work with vendors and service providers to ensure smooth operation of network infrastructure.
  9. Develop and implement network security protocols.
  10. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance.
  11. Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance.
  12. Collaborate with other teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
  13. Conduct regular network audits and implement necessary improvements.
  14. Keep track of network inventory and ensure timely replacement of outdated equipment.
  15. Adhere to industry and company standards and best practices for network engineering.
  16. Continuously improve network performance and reliability.
  17. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and escalate issues when necessary.
  18. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Networking Protocols: A Network Engineer At Sap Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Networking Protocols Such As Tcp/Ip, Dns, Dhcp, And Bgp. They Should Also Be Familiar With Saas Architectures And Technologies.

  • Experience With Cisco Networking Equipment: Sap Heavily Utilizes Cisco Networking Equipment, So A Network Engineer Should Have Experience Working With Cisco Routers, Switches, And Firewalls. They Should Also Be Proficient In Configuring And Troubleshooting These Devices.

  • Expertise In Cloud Networking: As A Saas Company, Sap Relies Heavily On Cloud-Based Networking Solutions. The Ideal Network Engineer Should Have Experience In Designing, Implementing, And Managing Cloud Networking Infrastructures, Particularly In Aws Or Azure Environments.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: Network Engineers At Sap Are Responsible For Identifying And Resolving Complex Network Issues. They Should Have Excellent Troubleshooting Skills And Be Able To Think Critically To Find Solutions To Network Problems Quickly.

  • Relevant Certifications: Sap Prefers Network Engineers Who Hold Industry-Standard Certifications Such As Ccna, Ccnp, Or Ccie. These Certifications Demonstrate A Candidate's Knowledge And Expertise In Cisco Networking Technologies And Are Highly Valued At Sap.
