  1. Develop and maintain the Kubernetes platform for SAP applications, ensuring its stability, scalability, and reliability.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to the platform, constantly seeking to enhance its performance and functionality.
  3. Monitor the platform and proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum availability.
  4. Implement automation and CI/CD processes to streamline deployment and operations.
  5. Stay updated with the latest DevOps trends and technologies, and identify opportunities for their integration into the platform.
  6. Create and maintain documentation for the platform, including standard operating procedures and best practices.
  7. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents promptly and effectively.
  8. Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide support for deploying and managing applications on the platform.
  9. Identify and implement security measures to ensure the platform meets SAP's security standards.
  10. Mentor and train junior team members on DevOps best practices and the Kubernetes platform.
  11. Collaborate with external vendors and partners to integrate their tools and services into the platform.
  12. Continuously improve the platform's monitoring and alerting capabilities to maintain high availability and quick response times.
  13. Participate in regular meetings and provide updates on platform status, issues, and enhancements.
  14. Actively participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.
  15. Adhere to SAP's policies, procedures, and standards while carrying out all responsibilities.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Kubernetes: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Kubernetes And Its Various Components, As The Gardener Service Is Based On Kubernetes.

  • Experience With Infrastructure Automation: Devops Engineers At Gardener Are Responsible For Automating The Infrastructure Setup And Maintenance Process. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With Tools Like Terraform, Ansible, Or Puppet.

  • Understanding Of Cloud Computing: As Gardener Is A Cloud-Based Service, The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Cloud Computing Concepts, Such As Scalability, Availability, And Cost Optimization.

  • Proficiency In Scripting And Programming Languages: A Devops Engineer At Gardener Should Be Proficient In At Least One Scripting Language Like Bash Or Python, As Well As One Programming Language Like Java Or Go.

  • Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Mindset, As They Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Resolving Issues In A Fast-Paced, Production Environment.
