  1. Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of SAP HANA and ASE databases.
  2. Design and implement strategies for database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure databases meet business requirements and performance goals.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Optimize database configurations and performance by implementing best practices.
  6. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in SAP HANA and ASE technology.
  7. Develop and maintain database documentation and standard operating procedures.
  8. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical database operations.
  9. Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for database improvements and automation.
  10. Work closely with developers to support database changes and migrations.
  11. Train and mentor junior database administrators.
  12. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, recommendations, and resolutions for database-related issues.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With Sap Hana And Ase: A Database Administrator At Sap Would Need To Have A Strong Background And Extensive Experience Working With Both Sap Hana And Ase Databases. This Includes A Deep Understanding Of Database Architecture, Data Modeling, Installation, Configuration, And Maintenance.

  • Proficiency In Database Administration Tools: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Be Proficient In Various Database Administration Tools, Such As Sap Hana Cockpit, Sap Hana Studio, And Sap Ase Cockpit. They Should Also Have Experience With Monitoring And Troubleshooting Database Performance Issues.

  • Knowledge Of Database Security: As A Database Administrator At Sap, Knowledge Of Database Security Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Implementing Security Protocols And Procedures, Including Data Encryption, Access Control, And User Authentication.

  • Experience With Database Migration And Upgrades: Sap Is Constantly Evolving, And As A Database Administrator, The Candidate Should Have Experience With Database Migration And Upgrades. This Includes Planning, Testing, And Executing Database Upgrades And Ensuring Minimal Downtime.
