  1. Manage and maintain the operation of SAP's cloud services, ensuring their smooth and efficient functioning.
  2. Utilize ITIL processes and principles to ensure that all cloud services are delivered according to established standards and best practices.
  3. Monitor and analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or incidents that may arise.
  5. Develop and maintain documentation of processes and procedures for cloud operations.
  6. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve SAP's cloud services.
  7. Work closely with global clients to understand their business needs and provide expert guidance on cloud solutions.
  8. Participate in the planning and execution of new cloud service releases and upgrades.
  9. Implement and maintain security measures to protect SAP's cloud services and data.
  10. Proactively identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities within the cloud environment.
  11. Provide regular reports and updates on the performance and status of SAP's cloud services to relevant stakeholders.
  12. Collaborate with other members of the cloud operations team to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
  13. Continuously assess and improve processes to increase efficiency and enhance the overall user experience.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert for ITIL processes and principles, providing guidance and training to other team members as needed.
  15. Contribute to the development and implementation of new cloud-related projects and initiatives.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Understanding Of Cloud Infrastructure: A Cloud Operations Engineer At Sap Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cloud Infrastructure, Including Knowledge Of Cloud Computing Services, Virtualization, Networking, And Storage. They Should Be Able To Design, Implement, And Maintain Cloud-Based Solutions To Meet Business Needs.

  • Experience With Itil Framework: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding And Experience With The Itil Framework. They Should Be Able To Apply Itil Best Practices To Manage And Optimize Sap's Cloud Operations, Ensuring Efficient And Effective Service Delivery.

  • Proficiency In Automation And Scripting: A Cloud Operations Engineer Should Be Proficient In Automation And Scripting Tools, Such As Powershell, Python, Or Bash. They Should Be Able To Automate Routine Tasks And Proactively Monitor And Manage Cloud-Based Systems To Improve Efficiency And Reduce Manual Effort.

  • Troubleshooting Skills: In This Role, A Candidate Should Have Strong Troubleshooting Skills To Quickly Identify And Resolve Issues Related To Cloud Infrastructure, Applications, And Services. They Should Be Able To Analyze System Logs, Metrics, And Other Data To Identify Root Causes And Implement Solutions.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Part Of The Sap Team, A Cloud Operations Engineer Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Developers, Architects, And Business Stakeholders. They Should Be Able To Collaborate And Work Together To Deliver High-Quality Cloud Services That Meet Business Requirements.
