- Develop and lead the overall database strategy for the company, in alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Drive the development and execution of the database roadmap, ensuring that it supports the company's short-term and long-term goals.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all database systems within the organization, ensuring high performance, scalability, and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions to improve database performance, reliability, and security.
- Stay informed on emerging database technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their integration into the company's database architecture.
- Manage and mentor a team of database architects and engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
- Develop and maintain database standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all database systems.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide strategic guidance on how to best utilize data to achieve business objectives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of database systems, and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Act as a visionary leader, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Database CoE team.
- Collaborate with other technology leaders and senior executives to develop and execute a cohesive technology strategy for the company.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to support the database strategy and meet business objectives.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and forums to share knowledge and promote the company's expertise in database architecture and design.
Extensive Experience In Database Architecture: A Chief Architect - Database Coe At Sap Should Have A Deep Understanding And Hands-On Experience With Database Architecture, Including Databases Such As Sap Hana, Oracle, And Sql Server.
Strong Leadership Skills: This Role Requires Excellent Leadership Skills To Manage A Team Of Database Architects And Engineers. The Chief Architect Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Leading And Motivating A Team To Deliver High-Quality Solutions.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Sap Technologies: Sap Is A Leading Enterprise Software Company, And The Chief Architect - Database Coe Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Sap's Product Portfolio, Including Sap Hana, Sap S/4Hana, And Sap Business Suite.
Business Acumen: As A Chief Architect, The Candidate Must Have A Solid Understanding Of The Business Needs And How Technology Can Address Those Needs. This Includes Being Able To Identify Opportunities For Innovation And Cost Savings Through Database Architecture.
