Welcome to SAP! We are looking for a passionate Accessibility Specialist Software Design and Development professional to join our team. As an Accessibility Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our software products are accessible to all users, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate accessibility standards and best practices into our design and development processes. We are seeking a driven individual with a strong understanding of accessibility guidelines and a proven track record of implementing them in software design and development.   1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate accessibility standards and best practices into software design and development processes.
  2. Conduct accessibility audits and reviews of software products to identify and address potential accessibility barriers.
  3. Work closely with designers and developers to ensure accessibility requirements are considered and implemented in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  4. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and guidelines for accessibility, and proactively suggest improvements for our products.
  5. Conduct user testing with individuals with disabilities to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to improve accessibility.
  6. Train and educate team members on accessibility best practices and guidelines.
  7. Participate in accessibility-focused discussions and initiatives within the company.
  8. Collaborate with external organizations and experts to stay current on accessibility trends and advancements.
  9. Advocate for accessibility within the company and promote a culture of inclusivity.
  10. Monitor and track accessibility metrics and report progress to relevant stakeholders.
  11. Stay informed of any legal requirements related to accessibility and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  12. Continuously evaluate and enhance our accessibility processes and procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Accessibility Guidelines And Standards: A Successful Accessibility Specialist At Sap Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Accessibility Guidelines And Standards Such As Wcag 2.0, Section 508, And Aria.

  • Experience With Assistive Technologies: The Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With A Variety Of Assistive Technologies, Such As Screen Readers, Magnifiers, And Voice Recognition Software, To Ensure The Accessibility Of Software Products.

  • Proficiency In Coding And Development: A Strong Background In Coding And Software Development Is Essential For An Accessibility Specialist To Understand The Technical Aspects Of Implementing Accessibility Features In Software.

  • Familiarity With Sap Products And Technologies: Knowledge And Experience With Sap Products And Technologies, Such As Sapui5, Fiori, And Web Dynpro, Is Highly Desirable For An Accessibility Specialist At Sap.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As An Accessibility Specialist, The Candidate Will Need To Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Developers, Designers, And Product Managers. Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
