Santander Bank N.A. is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-oriented Executive Director, Head of Central Compliance to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading financial institution and lead our Central Compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Central Compliance team, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and providing strategic oversight and guidance to the business.To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of technical and management skills, as well as a passion for compliance. A Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in the banking/financial services industry is required, along with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Central Compliance team, including setting goals and objectives, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance.
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and provide strategic oversight and guidance to the business.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  4. Monitor changes in the industry landscape and advise the business on the latest developments.
  5. Lead and motivate the Central Compliance team and develop a positive team culture.
  6. Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Monitor and report on compliance risks and issues.
  9. Develop and deliver presentations to the senior leadership team.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
