Credit Risk Review Intern

At Santander Bank N.A., we are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Credit Risk Review Intern to join our Credit Risk Review team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for financial services and the drive to develop an expertise in credit risk management.The Credit Risk Review Intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the risk management practices of the bank and contribute to the review of credit risk policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop a deep understanding of the credit risk management process and the ability to evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of the credit risk management framework.To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or a related field, as well as excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Previous experience in credit risk management and/or risk review is a plus. Responsibilities:

1. Assess credit risk management policies and procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
2. Develop an understanding of the credit risk management process and the ability to evaluate and monitor its effectiveness.
3. Maintain and update credit risk management documents.
4. Collaborate with the Credit Risk Review team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Monitor credit risk exposure and provide reports to senior management.
6. Participate in project meetings and provide input on credit risk initiatives.
7. Research new and emerging credit risk trends.
8. Assist with the development and implementation of credit risk strategies.
9. Analyze financial data and develop recommendations for credit risk management.
10. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
