
Metadata and Digital Collections Specialist
Under the general supervision of the Head Digital Collections and in collaboration with the Institutional Repository Specialist, the incumbent will create, modify, and edit metadata for the library's digital resources using the library's digital asset management system and institutional repository following Dublin Core, MODS, or other international or local standards. The incumbent is expected to accurately describe digital resources in a timely manner, making them Internet accessible. The incumbent must understand, develop, and apply appropriate metadata standards as defined by the Head of Digital Collections. The incumbent will stay current on metadata and digital projects best practices and international standards.
2-3 years of related library and/or clerical experience
Experience training staff and/or students
Experience using institutional repository software
