Job Description

San Diego Gas & Electric is looking for a results-driven, highly motivated Procurement Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s procurement projects from beginning to completion. To be successful in this position, you must have excellent organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, project management, and contract management. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics is required. Experience with procurement software and the ability to develop and evaluate RFPs is a plus. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage procurement plans for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  2. Monitor progress of projects and ensure that project deadlines are met.
  3. Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
  4. Develop and evaluate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and coordinate the selection process.
  5. Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects.
  6. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers.
  7. Monitor project performance and make adjustments as needed.
  8. Facilitate communication between project stakeholders.
  9. Prepare and present reports to senior management.
  10. Utilize procurement software to manage and track projects.
