  1. Manage all aspects of direct tax processes, including but not limited to tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
  2. Stay up-to-date with relevant tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance at all times.
  3. Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
  4. Prepare and review tax returns and other tax-related documents.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy of tax calculations.
  6. Conduct research and provide guidance on tax-related issues and inquiries.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors and authorities.
  8. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  9. Participate in tax audits and provide necessary support and documentation.
  10. Continuously identify and implement ways to streamline and improve tax processes.
  11. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax-related documents and payments.
  12. Train and mentor junior tax team members.
  13. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates on tax-related matters.
  14. Collaborate with global tax team to ensure consistency and alignment of tax strategies.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of all tax-related information.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Senior Direct Tax Accountant At Samsung Electronics Must Have A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Or Finance To Understand Complex Tax Regulations And Compliance Requirements.

  • Cpa Or Other Relevant Certification: Holding A Cpa Or Other Relevant Professional Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Taxation, Which Is A Key Requirement For This Position.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Direct Tax Accounting: Samsung Electronics Is Looking For A Senior Direct Tax Accountant With A Proven Track Record Of At Least 5 Years In Direct Tax Accounting, Preferably In A Multinational Corporation.

  • Proficiency In Tax Software And Technology: In Today's Digital Age, It Is Essential For A Senior Direct Tax Accountant To Be Proficient In Tax Software And Other Technology Tools To Efficiently Manage And Analyze Large Amounts Of Tax Data.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Direct Tax Accountant, One Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Tax Laws And Regulations, Identify Potential Risks And Opportunities, And Provide Effective Solutions To Ensure Compliance And Optimize Tax Strategies For The Company.
