- Perform tire and battery services for members' vehicles, including mounting, balancing, and replacing tires, as well as testing and installing batteries.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tires and batteries, identifying any potential issues or concerns and providing recommendations for repair or replacement.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of both customers and team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including keeping all tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting members in a friendly and professional manner.
- Educate members on proper tire and battery maintenance and care to help extend the life of their vehicle's components.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of all tire and battery services.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding inventory levels and any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Uphold the company's values and standards by being punctual, reliable, and displaying a positive attitude towards customers and fellow team members.
Experience Working With Automotive Tires And Batteries - Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working With Automotive Tires And Batteries, Either Through Previous Employment Or Personal Experience. This Includes Knowledge Of How To Safely Install And Maintain Tires And Batteries, As Well As How To Troubleshoot And Repair Common Issues.
Knowledge Of Vehicle Maintenance And Repair - Tire & Battery Technicians Must Have A Basic Understanding Of Vehicle Maintenance And Repair, Including How To Perform Routine Oil Changes, Check Fluid Levels, And Diagnose Common Problems. This Knowledge Is Essential For Providing Quality Service To Sam's Club Members.
Strong Customer Service Skills - As A Tire & Battery Technician At Sam's Club, Candidates Will Be Working Directly With Members On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Customer Service Skills Are A Must. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Members, Address Their Concerns, And Provide Timely And Efficient Service.
Attention To Detail - Tire & Battery Technicians Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That All Work Is Done Correctly And Safely. This Includes Checking Tire Tread Depth, Torqueing Lug Nuts To The Correct Specifications, And Properly Disposing Of Old Tires And Batteries.
Physical Fitness And Stamina - This Job Requires Physical Labor, Including Lifting Heavy Tires And Batteries, Kneeling And Crouching For Extended Periods Of Time, And Standing For Long Periods. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Have The Stamina To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
