- Oversee all aspects of the produce department, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Train and develop team members on proper produce handling techniques, including proper storage and rotation of products.
- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing friendly and knowledgeable service to all members.
- Monitor and maintain the quality and freshness of produce products, removing any expired or damaged items from the sales floor.
- Create and maintain visually appealing displays and signage to promote sales and highlight specials.
- Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and resolving any customer concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve department performance.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with product ordering to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Motivate and inspire team members to meet and exceed sales goals, as well as maintain high standards for product quality and customer service.
- Delegate tasks to team members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure a well-trained and efficient team.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new produce products to make informed recommendations to customers and management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the produce department and store.
Experience In The Produce Industry: Candidates For A Produce Lead Job At Sam's Club Should Have A Strong Background In The Produce Industry, Including Knowledge Of Different Types Of Fruits And Vegetables, Proper Handling And Storage Techniques, And Industry Trends.
