1. Greet and welcome customers to the produce department, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
2. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all produce products, including seasonality, varieties, and proper handling and storage techniques.
3. Ensure that all produce is fresh, visually appealing, and properly stocked and rotated on the sales floor.
4. Assist customers in selecting the best produce for their needs and provide recommendations and suggestions as needed.
5. Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating to management when necessary.
6. Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including regularly cleaning and sanitizing work areas and displays.
7. Receive and inspect produce shipments, ensuring quality and freshness standards are met.
8. Properly handle and dispose of damaged or expired produce products.
9. Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and objectives, including meeting sales targets and reducing waste.
10. Stay up-to-date on industry and market trends, making recommendations for new products or promotions.
11. Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
12. Attend training sessions and team meetings to continuously improve product knowledge and customer service skills.
13. Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the produce department and store.
