- Greet and welcome members as they enter the produce section of the store.
- Ensure that all produce displays are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
- Maintain inventory levels by regularly checking stock and ordering new products as needed.
- Follow proper food safety protocols and ensure that all produce is fresh and safe for consumption.
- Assist members with any questions or concerns regarding produce products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by going above and beyond to meet members' needs.
- Operate equipment such as scales and slicers to prepare produce for display and sale.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including regularly cleaning and sanitizing produce displays and equipment.
- Keep track of product expiration dates and rotate stock accordingly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and be able to make recommendations to members based on their preferences and needs.
- Continuously monitor produce quality and report any issues to management.
- Assist with receiving and stocking produce deliveries.
- Cross-train in other areas of the store to provide support as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Knowledge Of Produce Selection And Quality: A Produce Associate At Sam's Club Should Have A Good Understanding Of Different Types Of Produce And How To Assess Their Quality. This Includes Knowledge Of Ripeness, Freshness, And Proper Storage Techniques.
Customer Service Skills: As A Customer-Facing Role, A Produce Associate Should Have Excellent Customer Service Skills, Such As Being Friendly, Attentive, And Knowledgeable About The Store's Products.
Physical Stamina: This Job May Involve Standing For Long Periods, Lifting Heavy Boxes, And Moving Around The Store, So Physical Stamina And The Ability To Lift And Carry Items Are Important Qualifications.
