- Ensure the quality and freshness of all produce products by regularly inspecting and rotating stock
- Assist with receiving and stocking of produce deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including proper storage and disposal of damaged or expired products
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting members with their produce needs, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Operate equipment such as slicers, scales, and juicers to prepare produce for display and sale
- Keep track of inventory and communicate any low or out-of-stock items to management
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately and efficiently
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Collaborate with team members to create attractive and visually appealing produce displays
- Stay up-to-date on current produce trends and educate members on new or unfamiliar products
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the produce department.
