- Maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing produce department at all times.
- Ensure that all produce products are fresh and of high quality.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming produce shipments.
- Rotate and cull produce products to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with ordering as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting members with their produce needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regularly sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
- Operate machinery and equipment such as slicers, scales, and knives in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep up-to-date on product knowledge, including seasonality, pricing, and promotions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and suggest new ideas to enhance the produce department.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, dress code, attendance, and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Produce: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Produce, Including Knowledge Of Different Types Of Fruits And Vegetables, How To Properly Handle And Store Them, And How To Identify Signs Of Spoilage.
Customer Service Skills: As A Produce Associate, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Strong Customer Service Skills Are Essential. This Includes Being Friendly, Approachable, And Knowledgeable About The Produce Department.
