
Pharmacy Technician - Certified

- Dispense Medications: Accurately dispense medications for patients according to prescriptions and ensure proper dosages and instructions are provided.
- Provide Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients by addressing any questions or concerns they may have and ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist Pharmacists: Work closely with pharmacists to prepare and label medications, maintain inventory, and complete administrative tasks such as insurance claims and record-keeping.
- Educate Patients: Educate patients on the proper use of medications and answer any questions they may have about potential side effects or interactions.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal regulations for pharmacy operations, including handling controlled substances and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Maintain Clean and Organized Work Area: Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Process Prescriptions: Receive and process prescription orders from patients and healthcare providers, verifying accuracy and ensuring all necessary information is included.
- Monitor Inventory: Keep track of medication inventory and place orders when necessary to ensure adequate supply for patients.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Communicate and collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary information and ensure patient needs are being met.
- Continuously Improve: Stay updated on new medications, changes in regulations, and industry trends to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician In A Retail Or Hospital Setting.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) License From A Recognized Accrediting Body, Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Excellent Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations, Procedures, And Regulations.
Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced Environment And Handle Multiple Tasks Efficiently.
