Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual who is certified as a pharmacy technician and has experience in a retail pharmacy setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist pharmacists in dispensing medication accurately and efficiently to customers.
  2. Maintain a high level of customer service by actively listening to and addressing customer concerns and questions.
  3. Verify prescription information and accurately enter it into the pharmacy computer system.
  4. Prepare and label medications for dispensing.
  5. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of medications.
  6. Perform daily tasks such as counting pills, labeling bottles, and packaging medications.
  7. Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations regarding the handling and dispensing of medications.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the pharmacy dispensing area and inventory storage.
  9. Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any prescription-related issues.
  10. Provide support to pharmacists in managing and resolving customer complaints.
  11. Educate customers on the proper use and storage of medications.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain knowledge of current pharmacy practices and procedures.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  14. Collaborate with other pharmacy team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall customer experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Pharmacy Technician Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Recognized Pharmacy Technician Program, Which Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills For The Job.

  • National Certification: Sam's Club Requires All Pharmacy Technicians To Be Certified By Either The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • State Licensure: Candidates Should Have A Valid State License To Practice As A Pharmacy Technician. This Includes Passing Any Required Exams And Meeting Any Other State-Specific Requirements.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Pharmacy Technicians At Sam's Club Are Required To Communicate Effectively With Customers And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.

  • Attention To Detail: Pharmacy Technicians Must Be Detail-Oriented In Order To Accurately Fill Prescriptions And Maintain Patient Records. Sam's Club Looks For Candidates Who Have A Strong Attention To Detail And A Commitment To Accuracy In Their Work.
