- Provide excellent customer service to all patients and customers visiting the pharmacy.
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medication accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with pharmacy regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Accurately enter and process prescriptions in the pharmacy system.
- Prepare and label medication for dispensing.
- Handle cash and credit transactions for prescription payments.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking medication.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for prescription processing and insurance claims.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols in handling and storing medication.
- Keep up-to-date with new medications and industry developments.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Conduct medication counseling sessions with patients as directed by the pharmacist.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and efficiency within the pharmacy.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Pharmacy Technician Position At Sam's Club.
Pharmacy Technician Certification: Sam's Club Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed A Pharmacy Technician Certification Program And Have Obtained Their Certification From The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
Previous Pharmacy Technician Experience: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience As A Pharmacy Technician Is Highly Valued By Sam's Club. Candidates With Previous Experience Will Have A Better Understanding Of The Role And Be Able To Hit The Ground Running.
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills: As A Pharmacy Technician At Sam's Club, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential To Providing Excellent Service And Building Positive Relationships With Customers.
