- Assist licensed pharmacists in providing quality healthcare services to members.
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and monitor expiration dates of medications.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from members and healthcare providers.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
- Update patient profiles and medication records accurately.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practices.
- Keep work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and professional environment.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or errors in medication orders.
- Assist with training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians.
- Continuously update knowledge of pharmacy products, services, and industry developments.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Tech At Sam's Club Is Required To Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Certification: Sam's Club Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed A Pharmacy Technician Training Program And Hold A Cpht Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations And Procedures, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Insurance Billing.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential For A Pharmacy Tech At Sam's Club As They Will Be Interacting With Customers And Assisting Them With Their Medication Needs.
