- Greet and welcome members as they enter the optical department and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Utilize knowledge of eyewear and prescriptions to assist members in selecting the right frames and lenses for their needs
- Conduct thorough eye exams and obtain accurate measurements for prescription glasses and contact lenses
- Educate members on proper eye care and maintenance of eyewear
- Process orders for glasses and contact lenses, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized optical department, including displays and inventory management
- Adhere to all safety and compliance guidelines and regulations in regards to providing eye care services
- Continuously update knowledge on new products and technologies in the optical industry
- Collaborate with the rest of the Sam's Club team to provide a seamless and positive member experience
- Handle member inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Actively contribute to achieving sales goals and promoting the Sam's Club brand and services.
State Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Optician Single License Issued By The State In Which They Will Be Working.
Optical Experience: Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Optician Is Required. This Should Include Experience In Frame Selection, Lens Fitting, And Contact Lens Dispensing.
Product Knowledge: Strong Knowledge Of Various Optical Products Such As Eyeglasses, Contact Lenses, And Accessories Is Essential. The Candidate Should Also Be Familiar With The Latest Trends In Optical Fashion.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are A Must. The Candidate Should Be Able To Provide Exceptional Customer Service And Build Lasting Relationships With Customers.
Attention To Detail: As An Optician, Attention To Detail Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Accurately Measure And Fit Eyeglasses And Contact Lenses.
