- Utilize strong product knowledge to assist members in selecting the right eyewear, taking into consideration their prescription, style preferences, and budget.
- Conduct thorough and accurate measurements and fittings to ensure proper prescription and fit of eyewear.
- Place orders for eyewear, including lenses and frames, and ensure timely delivery to the member.
- Educate members on proper care and maintenance of their eyewear.
- Handle and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new products to provide the best recommendations to members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regularly cleaning and sanitizing eyewear displays and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless and efficient customer experience.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
- Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and targets.
- Attend and participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Certification And Licensure: The Candidate Should Possess A Valid License To Practice As An Optician In The State Where The Sam's Club Is Located. They Should Also Have Completed A Formal Training Program And Hold A Current Certification From The American Board Of Opticianry (Abo) Or The National Contact Lens Examiners (Ncle).
Knowledge Of Optics And Eye Health: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Optics, Vision Correction, And Eye Health. They Should Be Able To Accurately Assess And Measure Vision, Prescribe And Dispense Eyewear, And Provide Recommendations For Contact Lenses, Based On Individual Needs.
Customer Service Skills: As An Optician At Sam's Club, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Therefore, They Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Be Able To Listen To And Understand The Needs Of Customers, And Provide Exceptional Customer Service.
