- Greet and welcome members as they enter the store, providing a friendly and positive first impression.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and services offered at Sam's Club, and be able to effectively communicate this information to members.
- Keep shelves fully stocked and organized, ensuring that all products are easily accessible to members.
- Receive and process merchandise deliveries, verifying accuracy and quality of products.
- Unload and unpack merchandise, ensuring that it is properly labeled and placed in the appropriate location.
- Monitor inventory levels and promptly restock products when necessary.
- Assist members in finding products and making purchase decisions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the sales floor and stockroom.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and transport merchandise.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and members.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving any member concerns or complaints.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on new products, services, and company policies.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to inventory management and loss prevention.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall member experience.
Previous Retail Experience: A Merchandise And Stocking Associate At Sam's Club Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Retail Setting, Preferably In A Similar Role. This Will Ensure They Have A Basic Understanding Of Merchandising And Stocking Procedures, As Well As Customer Service Skills.
Strong Organizational Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Efficiently And Accurately Stock And Organize Merchandise On The Sales Floor. Candidates Should Have Excellent Organizational Skills To Ensure Products Are Displayed Neatly And In The Correct Locations.
Physical Stamina: This Job Involves A Significant Amount Of Physical Activity, Including Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Merchandise. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Stand For Long Periods Of Time.
Attention To Detail: Merchandise And Stocking Associates Are Responsible For Maintaining Inventory Accuracy And Ensuring All Products Are Labeled And Priced Correctly. Having A Strong Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Avoid Errors And Keep The Sales Floor Organized.
Customer Service Skills: While This Role Is Primarily Focused On Merchandising And Stocking, Associates May Also Be Required To Assist Customers And Answer Questions About Products. Strong Customer Service Skills, Including Communication And Problem-Solving, Are Important In Providing A Positive Shopping Experience For Sam's Club Members.
