- Ensure store shelves and displays are fully stocked and organized according to company standards.
- Unpack and sort merchandise received from suppliers and distribute it to the appropriate areas of the store.
- Perform inventory management tasks, including monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and reporting any discrepancies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries, locating items, and addressing any concerns or complaints.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including keeping aisles and backroom areas clear of clutter.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate completion of daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
- Assist with setting up and tearing down displays and promotional materials.
- Monitor product expiration dates and rotate stock accordingly.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Keep up-to-date on new products and promotions to effectively assist and engage customers.
- Follow all loss prevention measures to prevent theft and minimize damages.
- Communicate any equipment or supply needs to management in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the overall success of the store by performing tasks as assigned by management.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers and team members at all times.
Previous Retail Experience: A Merchandise And Stocking Associate At Sam's Club Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Retail Setting, Preferably In A Similar Role. This Will Ensure They Have A Basic Understanding Of Merchandising And Stocking Processes.
Physical Stamina: This Role Involves Physical Tasks Such As Lifting, Carrying, And Moving Heavy Items, As Well As Standing For Long Periods Of Time. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
Attention To Detail: As A Merchandise And Stocking Associate, It Is Important To Pay Close Attention To Details Such As Product Placement, Pricing, And Inventory Levels. This Will Help Maintain A Well-Organized And Visually Appealing Store.
Team Player: Sam's Club Is A Fast-Paced Environment And Requires Employees To Work Together Efficiently. A Strong Candidate For This Role Should Have Excellent Teamwork Skills And Be Able To Collaborate With Others To Complete Tasks.
