- Greet and welcome members with a friendly and positive attitude upon their arrival at the club.
- Process member purchases accurately and efficiently using the cash register and other payment methods.
- Answer any questions or concerns members may have and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including regularly restocking bags and supplies.
- Handle member returns and exchanges in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor and manage the flow of the checkout lines to ensure minimal wait times for members.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the front end.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and theft prevention.
- Be knowledgeable about current promotions, sales, and club services to assist members and encourage add-on sales.
- Continuously strive to meet and exceed performance goals and improve the overall member shopping experience.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, even during busy and high-stress situations.
- Attend and actively participate in all required training and meetings.
- Assist with other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Excellent Customer Service Skills: A Member Frontline Cashier Must Possess Strong Communication Skills And Be Able To Provide Exceptional Service To Members, Including Greeting Them, Answering Questions, And Resolving Any Issues Or Concerns.
Cash Handling Experience: Candidates For This Role Should Have Experience Handling Cash And Performing Basic Math Calculations. They Must Also Be Accurate And Detail-Oriented When Processing Transactions.
Knowledge Of Sam's Club Products And Services: A Member Frontline Cashier Should Have A Good Understanding Of Sam's Club Products And Services In Order To Assist Members With Their Purchases And Provide Recommendations When Necessary.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Cashiers At Sam's Club Must Be Able To Work Efficiently In A High-Volume Environment, Processing Transactions Quickly And Accurately While Maintaining A Friendly And Professional Demeanor.
Team Player: Sam's Club Values Teamwork, And A Member Frontline Cashier Should Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Cashiers And Team Members To Ensure A Positive Member Experience. They Should Also Be Willing To Assist With Tasks Outside Of Their Primary Cashier Duties As Needed.
