- Perform meat cutting and wrapping tasks to ensure high-quality and fresh meat products are available to customers.
- Use knives and other cutting tools safely and efficiently to prepare various cuts of meat.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure food safety standards are met.
- Follow established recipes and portion control guidelines to accurately cut and package meat products.
- Utilize knowledge of different types of meat and cuts to offer suggestions and recommendations to customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their meat selections.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness of products.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including sanitation and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge of meat cutting techniques and industry trends.
- Assist with other tasks and projects as needed to support the overall success of the department and store.
Knowledge Of Meat Cutting Techniques: A Qualified Candidate For A Meat Cutter And Wrapper Position Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Different Meat Cutting Techniques, Including Deboning, Trimming, And Portioning.
Familiarity With Food Safety Regulations: As A Meat Cutter And Wrapper, It Is Important To Have Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Be Able To Follow Proper Sanitation And Handling Procedures To Ensure The Safety And Quality Of The Products.
Physical Stamina And Strength: This Job Requires Physical Stamina And Strength As It Involves Lifting And Moving Heavy Cuts Of Meat. A Candidate Should Be Able To Stand For Long Periods And Have The Ability To Perform Repetitive Tasks.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy And Attention To Detail Are Crucial In This Role To Ensure The Correct Cuts Of Meat Are Prepared And Packaged According To Customer Specifications.
Customer Service Skills: As A Member-Facing Role, A Meat Cutter And Wrapper Should Possess Excellent Customer Service Skills And Be Able To Interact With Customers In A Friendly And Helpful Manner.
