- Receive incoming merchandise and verify accuracy of shipments against purchase orders.
- Organize and sort merchandise according to department and location within the store.
- Prepare merchandise for display and stocking, including removing packaging and applying price labels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate stocking of merchandise on the sales floor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including backroom and receiving areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or issues to management.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to members by answering questions and assisting with locating merchandise.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move and transport merchandise.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to merchandise handling and safety.
- Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and accuracy in the receiving and stocking process.
- Train and mentor new team members to ensure they understand and follow proper procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Sam's Club and providing a positive shopping experience for members.
Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail: A Freight Flow Associate Must Be Able To Efficiently And Accurately Sort, Label, And Stock Merchandise In The Proper Locations Throughout The Store.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: This Job Requires Frequent Lifting, Carrying, And Pushing Of Heavy Objects, Such As Pallets And Boxes, So A Candidate Must Be Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
Time Management And Multitasking Abilities: Freight Flow Associates Are Responsible For Managing Their Time Effectively And Juggling Multiple Tasks At Once, Such As Unloading Shipments, Stocking Shelves, And Assisting Customers.
Teamwork And Communication Skills: The Role Of A Freight Flow Associate Involves Working Closely With Other Team Members, As Well As Communicating With Supervisors And Other Departments, So Strong Teamwork And Communication Skills Are Essential.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management Systems: Familiarity With Inventory Management Systems And Processes Is Important For A Freight Flow Associate To Accurately Track And Monitor Product Levels And Ensure Efficient Replenishment Of Merchandise On The Sales Floor.
