- Receive and unload incoming merchandise from trucks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the process.
- Organize and stock merchandise in designated areas, following company guidelines and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including backroom and sales floor.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or shortages to management.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move merchandise as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of inventory audits.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing any member inquiries or concerns.
- Keep updated on current promotions and sales to effectively assist customers and increase sales.
- Maintain knowledge of product locations and assist members in finding desired items.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including but not limited to time and attendance, dress code, and code of ethics.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and increase efficiency in freight flow operations.
- Train and mentor new team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management: A Freight Flow Associate At Sam's Club Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Inventory Management Processes, Including Receiving, Stocking, And Order Fulfillment.
