Forklift-Merchandising Associate

As a Forklift-Merchandising Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization and presentation of our merchandise while operating a forklift. - Operate a forklift to move and transport merchandise throughout the store.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the forklift, following all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Work closely with team members to maintain the organization and presentation of merchandise on the sales floor.
- Receive and process merchandise shipments, verifying accuracy and reporting any discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and restocking merchandise as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the sales floor, backroom, and warehouse areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding merchandise needs and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention and safety.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve job knowledge and skills.
- Continuously monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues with the forklift and equipment.
- Proactively identify and resolve any merchandise or presentation issues to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Assist with special projects or tasks as assigned by management.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
Previous Experience Operating A Forklift: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Operating A Forklift In A Warehouse Or Retail Environment. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Proper Safety Procedures And The Ability To Maneuver The Forklift In Tight Spaces.
Strong Merchandising Skills: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Background In Retail Merchandising And Be Able To Effectively Stock And Organize Merchandise On The Sales Floor. This Includes Attention To Detail, Ability To Read Planograms, And Knowledge Of Product Placement Strategies.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Role Requires Frequent Lifting, Bending, And Standing For Extended Periods Of Time. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork: Forklift-Merchandising Associates Work Closely With Other Team Members, Including Other Forklift Operators And Sales Associates. Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment Are Essential For Success In This Role.
Attention To Safety: Safety Is A Top Priority At Sam's Club, And Candidates Must Demonstrate A Strong Commitment To Following Safety Protocols And Procedures. This Includes Proper Use Of Personal Protective Equipment And Adherence To All Osha Regulations.
