- Prepare and package baked goods according to company standards and recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure all baked goods are fresh and of high quality for our members.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of bakery orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management when supplies need to be restocked.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Greet and assist members with their bakery needs, providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain knowledge of all bakery products and be able to answer any member questions.
- Take initiative to suggest new and innovative baked goods to keep the department fresh and exciting.
- Assist in training new bakery team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with team members to achieve department goals.
- Adhere to all food handling and preparation guidelines to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Keep track of and record daily production and waste reports.
- Support multi-tasking by taking on additional tasks as needed, such as cashiering or stocking.
- Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and productivity within the bakery department.
Experience In Baking And Packaging: A Successful Candidate For This Position Should Have Prior Experience In Baking And Packaging, Preferably In A Retail Or Grocery Store Setting. This Will Ensure They Are Familiar With Food Handling And Safety Protocols, As Well As Have A Basic Understanding Of Product Packaging And Labeling.
Knowledge Of Baking Equipment And Tools: It Is Important For The Baker And Packager Associate To Have A Working Knowledge Of Various Baking Equipment And Tools, Such As Mixers, Ovens, And Packaging Machines. This Will Enable Them To Efficiently And Effectively Perform Their Job Duties, As Well As Troubleshoot Any Equipment Issues That May Arise.
Attention To Detail: As A Baker And Packager Associate, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Ensuring That Products Are Properly Baked, Packaged, And Labeled According To Company Standards. This Includes Accurately Weighing And Measuring Ingredients, Correctly Labeling Products With Expiration Dates, And Inspecting Finished Products For Quality And Consistency.
Time Management Skills: The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Manage Time Effectively Is Essential For This Role. The Baker And Packager Associate Will Be Responsible For Completing Multiple Tasks Within A Specified Time Frame, Including Baking, Packaging, And Restocking Shelves. Strong Time Management Skills Will Ensure That All Tasks Are Completed In A Timely Manner.
Physical Stamina: This Position Requires Standing For Long Periods, As Well As Lifting And Carrying Heavy Baking Equipment And Packages. A Successful Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job. This Includes Being Able To Bend, Stoop, And Reach Overhead To Retrieve And Stock Items On Shelves.
