
Backroom Associate

- Maintain a clean and organized backroom area to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Receive and process incoming merchandise, including checking for accuracy and quality.
- Stock shelves and displays with merchandise in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or shortages to management.
- Assist in conducting inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move merchandise.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure all merchandise is properly stored and easily accessible.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and events to effectively assist members.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to member inquiries and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
- Take initiative to identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions to enhance backroom operations.
- Adhere to company standards for productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Assist in unloading and loading trucks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to contribute to the overall success of the store.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Qualification Is Usually Required For A Backroom Associate Position At Sam's Club.
Warehouse/Stocking Experience: Previous Experience In A Warehouse Or Stocking Environment Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates The Ability To Handle Heavy Lifting And Operate Equipment Such As Pallet Jacks And Forklifts.
Attention To Detail: Backroom Associates Are Responsible For Accurately Stocking And Organizing Merchandise, So Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure The Correct Products Are In The Correct Location.
Time Management Skills: Backroom Associates Are Often Responsible For Multiple Tasks At Once, So The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Time Effectively Is Important In Order To Meet Deadlines And Maintain A Well-Organized Backroom.
Customer Service Skills: Although Backroom Associates Typically Work Behind The Scenes, They May Occasionally Interact With Customers While Stocking Or Delivering Merchandise. Therefore, Strong Customer Service Skills Are Important In Order To Provide A Positive And Helpful Experience For Members.
