- Maintaining a clean and organized backroom by properly stocking and arranging products according to company standards.
- Receiving and processing incoming merchandise, including unloading and unpacking shipments, verifying quantity and quality, and entering data into inventory system.
- Ensuring all products are properly labeled and priced before being placed on the sales floor.
- Conducting regular inventory counts and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Assisting in the preparation of products for display on the sales floor, including assembling and labeling merchandise.
- Operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and store merchandise.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by following company policies and procedures.
- Communicating with other team members to ensure efficient and accurate handling of merchandise.
- Providing excellent customer service by assisting members with locating and retrieving products from the backroom.
- Assisting in the implementation of promotional and seasonal displays in the backroom.
- Following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment while handling merchandise.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures, including those related to inventory control, product handling, and safety.
- Cross-training in other departments to provide support as needed.
- Participating in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and products.
- Maintaining a positive and professional attitude while representing the company to members and other team members.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required For This Position.
Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills: Backroom Associates Are Responsible For Keeping Track Of Inventory And Ensuring Items Are Properly Stored And Easily Accessible. Therefore, Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: This Position May Require Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Merchandise, So Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects Is Necessary.
Attention To Detail: Backroom Associates Must Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Accurately Count And Track Inventory To Ensure Accuracy And Prevent Loss.
