- Receive and organize incoming merchandise to ensure efficient and timely restocking of products on the sales floor.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular stock counts and accurately entering data into the system.
- Prepare products for the sales floor by properly labeling, tagging, and packaging them according to company standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the backroom area is clean, organized, and safe for all employees.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols when handling and storing merchandise.
- Assist with unloading and loading of merchandise from delivery trucks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operation of backroom processes.
- Identify and report any damaged or defective merchandise to management.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure a consistent and exceptional shopping experience for members.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, providing excellent customer service to all members and colleagues.
Knowledge Of Inventory Management: A Backroom Associate At Sam's Club Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Inventory Management Processes And Be Able To Accurately Track And Maintain Inventory Levels.
Organizational Skills: Backroom Associates Are Responsible For Ensuring The Backroom Is Well-Organized And Items Are Easily Accessible. Therefore, Strong Organizational Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Physical Stamina: This Job Requires Lifting And Moving Heavy Items, As Well As Standing And Walking For Extended Periods Of Time. A Backroom Associate Should Have The Physical Stamina To Handle These Tasks.
