Backroom Associate

- Receive and unload incoming merchandise shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the order.
- Inspect and organize merchandise in the backroom according to company standards and procedures.
- Keep track of inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or low stock levels to management.
- Prepare and stage merchandise for the sales floor, including proper labeling and pricing.
- Maintain a clean and organized backroom area, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in completing inventory audits and cycle counts to track and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient and timely merchandise flow.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move merchandise as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering any questions and assisting with locating merchandise.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
- Assist with stocking and replenishing merchandise on the sales floor during busy periods.
- Keep up-to-date on product knowledge and promotions to effectively assist customers.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and promote a team-oriented environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Merchandise: Backroom Associates Are Responsible For Stocking And Organizing Merchandise In The Backroom, Which Often Involves Lifting And Moving Heavy Boxes And Items. Candidates For This Position Should Be Physically Able To Handle This Type Of Work.
Organizational Skills: As A Backroom Associate, You Will Be Responsible For Keeping The Backroom Organized And Ensuring That Merchandise Is Stored In The Correct Locations. Having Strong Organizational Skills Is Essential For This Role.
