- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Unload and unpack merchandise from delivery trucks and transport it to the appropriate storage areas.
- Organize and stock merchandise on shelves and in designated storage areas according to company standards.
- Maintain inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or shortages to management.
- Ensure all merchandise is properly labeled and priced.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move merchandise safely and efficiently.
- Work with other team members to ensure timely and accurate restocking of merchandise on the sales floor.
- Keep the backroom area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while handling merchandise and operating equipment.
- Assist customers with locating merchandise and provide exceptional customer service.
- Proactively identify and report any damaged or defective merchandise to management.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with resolving any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and sales promotions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote a team-oriented work environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
