- Monitor and ensure the safety and security of all members, associates, and merchandise within the store premises.
- Proactively identify and investigate potential security threats or suspicious activities.
- Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of the store to deter theft and prevent losses.
- Collaborate with store management and other team members to develop and implement effective asset protection strategies.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to any security incidents or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security-related incidents and investigations.
- Conduct thorough and consistent bag checks for members leaving the store.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting members in a friendly and professional manner.
- Train and educate associates on proper security procedures and measures to prevent losses.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest security and loss prevention techniques and technologies.
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies and cooperate with investigations as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding asset protection.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of integrity.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to address any security concerns or issues.
- Continuously monitor and assess store security measures and recommend improvements as needed.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For An Asset Protection Associate At Sam's Club Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Associate Has Basic Knowledge And Skills Necessary For The Job.
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Strategies To Prevent Theft, Fraud, And Other Security Risks. This May Include Knowledge Of Cctv Systems, Inventory Management, And Policies And Procedures Related To Asset Protection.
Previous Experience In Asset Protection: Previous Experience In Asset Protection Or A Related Field, Such As Security, Law Enforcement, Or Military, Is Often Preferred For This Position. This Experience Demonstrates A Candidate's Ability To Handle Potentially Challenging Situations And Their Understanding Of Security Protocols.
Excellent Communication Skills: Asset Protection Associates Need To Communicate Effectively With Customers, Team Members, And Management. They May Need To De-Escalate Potentially Volatile Situations And Write Accurate Incident Reports, Making Strong Communication Skills Essential.
