If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Sam's Club is seeking an Area Manager - Floor to join our team and oversee the operations of our floor department.   1. Oversee the operations of the floor department in multiple Sam's Club locations.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase profitability in the floor department.
  3. Manage a large team of associates, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success.
  4. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed decisions to improve department performance.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure the availability of quality products at competitive prices.
  6. Create and maintain a positive and high-performing work environment for associates, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  8. Train and develop associates on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
  9. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  10. Conduct regular store visits to assess floor department operations, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback to store managers.
  11. Participate in budget planning and control expenses within the floor department.
  12. Communicate effectively with upper management, providing updates on department performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  13. Act as a role model for associates, demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer-centric attitude.
  14. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve department operations.
  15. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the floor department.
  16. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  17. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Sam's Club brand and values.
  18. Collaborate with the HR department to recruit, hire, and onboard new associates for the floor department.
  19. Conduct performance evaluations for associates and provide coaching and feedback to improve their performance.
  20. Ensure the safety and security of associates, customers, and merchandise in the floor department.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Leadership Skills: A Successful Area Manager - Floor Must Have Excellent Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Large Team Of Employees. This Includes The Ability To Set Goals, Delegate Tasks, And Provide Guidance And Support To Team Members.

  • Retail Management Experience: Previous Experience In Retail Management, Particularly In A Large Retail Environment, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Experience Should Include Managing A Team, Overseeing Store Operations, And Driving Sales And Profitability.

  • Knowledge Of Floor Operations: The Area Manager - Floor Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Floor Operations, Including Inventory Management, Merchandising, And Customer Service. This Knowledge Is Essential For Ensuring The Smooth And Efficient Operation Of The Floor.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For An Area Manager - Floor To Effectively Communicate With Their Team, Senior Management, And Other Departments Within The Company. This Includes The Ability To Give Clear Instructions, Provide Feedback, And Resolve Conflicts.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Area Manager - Floor Must Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Address Any Issues Or Challenges That May Arise On The Floor. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Data, Make Strategic Decisions, And Implement Solutions To Improve Store Performance.
