- Develop and execute a comprehensive venture capital strategy in alignment with Salesforce's overall business objectives
- Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities, including conducting due diligence and financial analysis
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top venture capital firms and entrepreneurs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executives, legal, and finance, to evaluate and negotiate investment deals
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to portfolio companies to support their growth and success
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in venture capital and share insights with internal stakeholders
- Serve as a thought leader and representative for Salesforce in the venture capital community
- Lead and manage a team of venture capital professionals, providing direction, mentorship, and support for their development and growth
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of portfolio companies and make recommendations for adjustments as needed to maximize returns
- Represent Salesforce at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and establish relationships with potential investment targets
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership on the progress and results of the venture capital portfolio.
