Senior Director, SOX Strategy & Maturation

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Director, SOX Strategy & Maturation to join our team at Salesforce. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will have the opportunity to lead the development and execution of a SOX strategy and maturation plan to ensure the highest level of internal controls over financial reporting.To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a SOX-related role or public accounting firm and a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a CPA license and experience leading SOX-related initiatives and projects at a public company. You must also have an understanding of SOX, COSO, and PCAOB standards and be able to develop and maintain relationships with external auditors.You should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and suggest creative solutions to complex issues. A strong sense of ownership and a passion for continuous improvement are essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a SOX strategy and maturation plan to ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting.
2. Manage and review SOX-related initiatives and projects.
3. Ensure compliance with SOX, COSO, and PCAOB standards.
4. Maintain relationships with external auditors.
5. Provide technical guidance and advice on SOX-related matters.
6. Monitor SOX-related activities and make recommendations for improvements.
7. Create and maintain SOX-related documentation.
8. Prepare and present SOX-related reports to stakeholders.
9. Identify and address any control gaps.
10. Participate in SOX-related training and development initiatives.
11. Develop and implement procedures to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
12. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including analyzing data and preparing reports.
