  1. Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in startups that align with Salesforce's strategic goals and values.
  2. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive landscape assessment.
  3. Work closely with the Ventures team to develop investment strategies and make recommendations for potential investments.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key players in the startup ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and industry experts.
  5. Provide strategic guidance and support to portfolio companies, leveraging Salesforce's resources and expertise to help them grow and succeed.
  6. Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to inform investment decisions.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Salesforce to identify potential synergies and opportunities for portfolio companies.
  8. Monitor and track the performance of portfolio companies, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
  9. Represent Salesforce Ventures at industry events and conferences, and actively participate in networking opportunities.
  10. Continuously seek out new and innovative ways to drive growth and success for Salesforce Ventures and its portfolio companies.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Experience With The Salesforce Ecosystem: A Salesforce Ventures Principal Should Have Extensive Knowledge And Experience Working With Various Salesforce Products And Services, Including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, And Others. This Includes Hands-On Experience With Implementation, Development, And Integration Of These Products.

  • Strong Investment And Financial Analysis Skills: As A Salesforce Ventures Principal, A Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Investment And Financial Analysis. This Includes Experience In Conducting Due Diligence, Analyzing Financial Statements, And Evaluating Investment Opportunities.

  • Exceptional Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Successful Salesforce Ventures Principal Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. This Includes The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Stakeholders And Effectively Communicate Investment Strategies And Decisions To Senior Management.

  • Proven Track Record In Venture Capital Or Private Equity: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successful Investments In Venture Capital Or Private Equity. This Includes Experience In Identifying And Evaluating Potential Investments, Negotiating Deals, And Driving Returns For Investors.

  • Strategic Thinking And Business Acumen: Strategic Thinking And Business Acumen Are Essential Skills For A Salesforce Ventures Principal. This Includes The Ability To Identify Emerging Trends And Technologies, Evaluate Market Opportunities, And Develop Strategic Investment Plans That Align With Salesforce's Overall Business Objectives.
