  1. Design and implement data models to support the growth and scalability of Salesforce's data cloud platform.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data models.
  3. Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data lineage, and data quality standards for the data cloud platform.
  4. Identify and recommend solutions for data modeling challenges and issues.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data modeling and cloud technologies.
  6. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the data cloud platform through research and exploration of new technologies and techniques.
  7. Communicate data model designs and recommendations to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
  8. Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure data models are aligned with the overall architecture and design principles.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve data modeling issues in a timely manner.
  10. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data modelers and team members.
  11. Collaborate with product management to understand product roadmap and prioritize data model enhancements and developments.
  12. Ensure data model designs are compliant with data security and privacy regulations.
  13. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on data modeling and provide recommendations on data-related decisions.
  15. Continuously monitor and optimize data models for performance and scalability.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Data Modeling: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Background In Data Modeling Techniques And Methodologies. This Includes Experience In Designing And Implementing Data Models For Large-Scale And Complex Data Environments.

  • Expertise In Cloud Data Platforms: The Principal Data Cloud Data Modeler Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cloud Data Platforms Such As Salesforce Data Cloud, Amazon Redshift, Google Bigquery, Etc. They Should Be Able To Leverage These Platforms To Design And Implement High-Performing Data Models.

  • Strong Understanding Of Data Governance And Compliance: Given The Sensitive Nature Of Data, The Principal Data Cloud Data Modeler Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Data Governance And Compliance Regulations. They Should Be Able To Design Data Models That Adhere To These Regulations And Ensure Data Security And Privacy.

  • Proven Track Record In Data Transformation And Integration: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record In Data Transformation And Integration. They Should Be Able To Design Data Models That Facilitate Seamless Data Integration From Various Sources, Making It Easier For Business Users To Access And Analyze Data.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Principal Data Cloud Data Modeler, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Data Modelers And Collaborating With Various Stakeholders Across The Organization. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For This Role.
