Lead Security Engineer - Third Party Security

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security of third-party systems and data.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans of third-party systems and networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential security risks.
- Monitor and analyze third-party security incidents and take appropriate action to mitigate any potential threats.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in information security to continuously improve the third-party security program.
- Conduct audits and evaluations of third-party vendors to ensure compliance with security standards and contractual requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with third-party vendors to address security concerns and implement necessary security measures.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and third-party vendors on security protocols and best practices.
- Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach or incident involving third-party systems.
- Manage and maintain third-party security tools and systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software.
- Work closely with the internal security team to align third-party security efforts with overall company security objectives.
- Participate in industry conferences and events to stay current on emerging threats and technologies in the third-party security space.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on the status of third-party security and any identified risks or vulnerabilities.
- Mentor and train junior members of the security team on third-party security best practices and procedures.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for all third-party security-related inquiries and concerns.
Extensive Technical Expertise: A Lead Security Engineer At Salesforce Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Security Technologies, Tools, And Processes. They Should Be Proficient In Areas Such As Network Security, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, And Risk Assessment.
Experience In Third Party Security: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have Prior Experience In Managing Third Party Security Risks And Conducting Reviews Of External Vendors. This Includes Assessing The Security Posture Of Vendors, Reviewing Contracts And Agreements, And Implementing Security Controls For Third Party Access.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Lead Security Engineer, This Role Requires Excellent Leadership Skills To Manage A Team Of Security Professionals. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Mentoring, Training, And Guiding Team Members To Ensure The Highest Level Of Security Standards Are Maintained.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Compliance Standards: Salesforce Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry And Is Subject To Various Compliance Standards Such As Gdpr, Iso, And Soc. A Lead Security Engineer Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Standards And Be Able To Ensure That Salesforce And Its Third-Party Vendors Are Compliant.
Communication And Collaboration Skills: This Role Involves Working With Various Internal Teams, External Vendors, And Clients. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Effectively Convey Complex Security Concepts And Build Strong Relationships With Stakeholders.
