- Develop and maintain a comprehensive third party security program, ensuring that all third party vendors and partners meet our security standards and requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and due diligence on third party vendors to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain security controls for third party integrations.
- Monitor and track third party security incidents, responding in a timely and effective manner to mitigate any potential threats.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations related to third party security and integrate them into our program.
- Train and educate employees on third party security policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on selecting and onboarding third party vendors.
- Manage relationships with third party vendors, conducting regular security reviews and ensuring compliance with our security standards.
- Develop and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of our third party security program.
- Lead and mentor a team of security engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the third party security program.
- Collaborate with other security teams to identify and address any potential security gaps or vulnerabilities within the organization.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership on the status of the third party security program and any potential risks or incidents.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and incident response plans related to third party security.
- Participate in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and guidelines for the organization.
- Continuously improve and enhance the third party security program to stay ahead of emerging threats and industry trends.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Third Party Security Standards And Regulations: A Lead Security Engineer At Salesforce Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards Such As Iso 27001, Nist, And Gdpr, As Well As Regulatory Requirements For Third Party Security.
Extensive Experience In Vendor Risk Management: This Role Requires Extensive Experience In Conducting Risk Assessments And Managing Third Party Vendors, Including Assessing Their Security Controls, Conducting Audits, And Ensuring Compliance With Contractual Obligations.
Proficiency In Security Tools And Technologies: A Lead Security Engineer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Security Tools Such As Vulnerability Scanners, Intrusion Detection Systems, And Firewalls, As Well As Experience In Implementing And Managing These Tools In A Complex Environment.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Lead Security Engineer, You Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Legal, Compliance, And Procurement. Therefore, Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
Knowledge Of Cloud Security Best Practices: Salesforce Is A Cloud-Based Company, And As Such, The Lead Security Engineer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Cloud Security Best Practices, Including Secure Configuration, Data Protection, And Incident Response In A Cloud Environment. Experience With Cloud Security Frameworks Such As Csa And Ccsp Is Also Preferred.
