- Greet and welcome customers to the store in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers with their shopping needs, including locating products, answering questions, and providing recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and ensuring product displays are visually appealing.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or other payment methods.
- Promote and upsell products to customers as appropriate.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure products are always available for customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to and addressing customer concerns and complaints.
- Continuously learn about and stay updated on product knowledge to better assist customers.
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working and shopping environment.
- Assist in store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and securing the store.
- Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
Prior Experience In Retail Sales And Customer Service: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Retail Sales Or Customer Service Role, Preferably In A Grocery Store Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Interact Effectively With Customers And Team Members Is Crucial In A Retail Environment. Candidates Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally, Both Verbally And In Writing.
Knowledge Of Store Operations And Products: A Good Understanding Of Store Operations And The Products Sold At Safeway Is Important For This Role. Candidates Should Be Familiar With The Store Layout, Product Assortment, And Promotional Offers.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Retail Sales And Store Support Roles At Safeway Can Be Physically Demanding And Require The Ability To Multitask And Work Efficiently Under Pressure. Candidates Should Be Able To Handle A High Volume Of Customer Inquiries And Transactions While Maintaining A Positive Attitude.
